Chef Matthew Weingarten is well known for his seasonal heritage cuisine. A few times a year he creates gastronomic fetes that celebrate a certain theme or idea and when he asked me to collaborate with him on the menu design, I ate it up like a hungry designer. The menus really helped set the mood for the evening and as Chef Weingarten said "they effectively transported the diners to another place and time" As for the food, well it was truly divine! These two examples were from the Prestigious James Beard House and "Zagat Presents".
